Eliminations – Dancing with the Stars – Week #6

April 26, 2011

NKOTBSB – New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys have joined together for a major summer tour and introduced their new single, “Don’t turn out the Lights”, on DWTS.   Though the singing was just OK, the tune is catchy and it was fun to see them perform together.

The first two couples that are at the top of the leader board to be safe, as expected, are Romeo and Chelsea. Hines and Kirstie landed in the middle of the pack and are both also safe.  So far so good!

Macy’s Stars of Dance performed to the classic, “Stand By Me”, and really depicted a sweet interpretation of the young dancing through marriage, and growing old together.  They have very talented dancers representing all ages.  Loved it! New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys came back to perform a medley of their hits, “Step by Step” and “I Want it That Way.”  I think for all of us, it was a fun trip down memory lane.

The last couple to be saved was Kendra, which leaves Ralph Macchio and Chris Jericho in the bottom two.  I was looking forward to seeing more from him, but unfortunately my prediction was correct and we say goodbye to Chris Jericho.  Chris’ first routine on the season premiere was very odd and I was not impressed at all, but I have to say after that 1st week he really produced some good routines and became very likable. Good job Chris, I’m sad to see you go.

Let’s see what they have in store for us all next week…
